This article will help you resolve the following error:
"e-file: Oregon does not allow returns with wage, pension, IRA, depletion, or gambling winnings adjustments on e-filed returns. You must file this return as a conventional paper return." (ref. #8461)
To resolve this diagnostic:
This diagnostic generates when there's an addition or subtraction showing on Sch. OR-ASC without a valid code.
- Locate and remove the State if Different entries that caused the adjustment(s) on Form OR-ASC.
- For example, an entry in Input Return ⮕ Income ⮕ Wages, Salaries, Tips in the field State wages, if different (16) will generate the diagnostic.
- If the adjustments are required, enter them in the applicable input field available on Input Return ⮕ State & Local ⮕ Modifications ⮕ Oregon Modifications.
- Entries in this screen will generate the required adjustment codes.
