Overriding the individual Delaware optimal filing status in Lacerte

Changing the filing status for Delaware only.

  1. Go to Screen 3, Miscellaneous Info./Direct Deposit.
  2. Scroll down to the Section Delaware Miscellaneous.
  3. From the drop-down options available in Filing status (Ctrl+T)[O] (input sheet code 316) field, select 2=Married Filing Joint.

Note: The program automatically determines the optimal filing status.  Use the 'Filing Status' override ONLY when a different filing status is desired.
