Common questions about New York sales and use tax

To enter a Sales or Use Tax amount for line 59:

1. Go to Screen 54, Taxes.
2. Under the St. Taxes panel, select New York Sales and Use Tax.
3. Under the Sales & Use Tax panel, select General Information.
4. Enter the amount in the field Sales and use tax [O].
   • Enter an amount to override the automatic calculation of Sales and Use Tax to be reported on the return. An entry in this field will suppress all worksheets from printing.
