Below are solutions to frequently asked questions about entering Pennsylvania part-year returns in the Individual module of Lacerte.

Follow these steps to generate part-year residency dates on Form PA-40:

  1. Go to Screen 1, Client Information.
  2. Uncheck the Full Year Resident? box.
  3. Check the Multi-State Return? box.
  4. Go to Screen 55, Part-Yr./Nonres. Information.
  5. From the left menu, select Pennsylvania.
  6. Enter the From and To residency dates for the taxpayer and spouse.
