Resolving Account files locking sequence errors in ProSeries

This article will help you resolve the errors:

  • Account files locking sequence error
  • Account files locking key is invalid

To resolve this issue, you must be at the computer where ProSeries is installed and contact Customer Service at (800)434-6818. You'll need to follow the steps below when prompted:

  1. Click on OK to close the error.
  2. From the Tools menu, hold down the CTRL key and click on Pay-Per-Return.
  3. Select Reset File Version.
  4. The customer service representative will need the code under Provide this number to the customer service representative.
  5. In the Enter Authorization Code box enter the code provided by customer service and select OK.
