Is Lacerte Software compatible with Windows 10?
Lacerte only supports the current tax year and the two prior tax years.
However, for back years TY07 through TY14, we have tested and found that the programs may work for calculating a client and printing; however, the farther back you go, the larger the probability of compatibility issues occurring (PDF Printing, REP, etc). Be aware that you might be spending some time troubleshooting issues.
For Back years TY06-TY2000, While they may work in Windows 10, there is a large likelihood of unintended issues that we are unaware of and therefore cannot guarantee Compatibility.
For TY99-90, these will only work on 32-bit systems, so they are not compatible, including on Windows 10 32-bit machines. We suggest using these old programs on a virtual machine of WinXP for security reasons and not connecting it to the internet.
