Printing the K-1 Package in Lacerte

How do I print the Schedule K-1, K-1 slip sheet, and K-1 letter for each partner, shareholder, or beneficiary?

The Schedule K-1, K-1 slip sheet, and K-1 letter can be printed for each partner, shareholder, or beneficiary separately from the return.

Solution #1 - To set a global option for printing Schedule K-1:

1. Click on Settings.
2. Click on Options.
3. Select the Items to Print tab.
4. Locate the Copy section from the top left navigation panel.
5. Click on Addtl K-1 Package.
6. Check all applicable boxes.
7. Click OK to save changes.
8. Click on the Clients tab (to view the list of your clients).
9. Highlight the returns you want to print.
10. Click on Print.
11. Click on Tax Return.
12. Locate the Return section.
13. Select K-1 package only.
14. Select the applicable print to option under the Return Options section.
    • Printer
    • File (PDF)
    • Email (PDF)
    • DMS (if applicable)
15. Enter the number of Copies to print.
16. Click OK.

Solution #2- For a one time print of the Schedule K-1 for specific partners, shareholders, or beneficiaries:

1. Click on the Clients tab (to view the list of your clients).
2. Highlight the returns you want to print.
3. Click on Print.
4. Click on Tax Return.
5. Locate the Return section.
6. Select Partial Return.
7. Click the Sch K-1 folder.
8. Select the applicable print to option under the Return Options section.
   • Printer
   • File (PDF)
   • Email (PDF)
   • DMS (if applicable
9. Enter the number of Copies to print.
10. Click OK
