Everything else prints but Form 1040 in ProSeries

SOLVEDby Intuit2Updated 1 week ago

When you are trying to print a return, but not all of the pages of the return - you're missing Form 1040, but this isn't happening with all of your Individual returns, check the age of the taxpayer:

If the taxpayer was 65 or older, they have the option of print the Form 1040SR or 1040. Verify if either the Yes or No box is checked:

  1. Open the Federal Information Worksheet to Part I.
  2. On the line Print line 1040 SR instead of Form 1040 make sure Yes or No is checked.

If you are trying to print Form 1040, and are experiencing the error:

  • Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the program will ignore this error and try to continue.
  1. Open the Federal Information Worksheet to Part I.
  2. On the line Print line 1040 SR instead of Form 1040 make sure Yes or No is checked.
