Generating and e-filing W-2 and 1099 forms with Quick Employer Forms

To create a new form:

  1. Sign in to Quick Employer Forms Accountant (QEF).
  2. Click on the Create New Form button
  3. Select the type of form you need to complete:
    • W-2
    • 1099-NEC
    • 1099-MISC
    • 1099-INT
    • 1099-DIV
    • TurboTax Import
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Next we'll select the business information.
    • If this is a prior client select the business from Choose Business or Add a New One and make sure the business information is still correct.
    • If this is a new client select Add business from Choose Business or Add a New One and enter the business information.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Next we'll select the payee information:
    • If this is a prior payee select the business from Choose an Existing Employee/Contractor and make sure the payee information is still correct.
    • If this is a new payee select I'll enter one below from Choose an Existing Employee/Contractor and enter the payee information.
  8. Click Continue.
  9. Next we'll enter the information for the form:
    • Enter the information required for the form. Click on the ? button to bring up in product help for a specific field.
  10. Click Continue.
  11. Review the preview of the completed form. Make sure all information is correct.
  12. Click on Edit to fix any mistakes you made or Continue button to complete the form.

To e-file form:

  1. From the Quick Employer forms home screen select the E-File button.
  2. Select the business name and click CONTINUE.
  3. Select the forms you need to e-file and click E-FILE NOW.
  4. Review the E-file Success screen for confirmation the forms we're e-filed successfully.

E-filing state forms:

Quick Employer Forms transmits directly to the federal agency for the completed tax documents. After e-filing your federal copies, check your state's website for W-2 or 1099 reporting requirements. Each state's requirements vary and most don't require the forms to be submitted separately from the federal.  You don't need to mail anything to the IRS or SSA after e-filing with Quick Employer Forms Accountant.
