How to enter student loan interest paid in ProConnect Tax

Entering qualified student loan interest:

  1. In Intuit ProConnect, go to the Input Return tab.
  2. On the left-side navigation menu, select Deductions and select Adjustments to Income.
  3. Along the top of the input screen, select Education. 
  4. Enter the amount in Total qualified student loan interest paid.

If the deduction is not flowing to the return, check the Student Loan Interest Deduction Worksheet for limitations. ProConnect Tax will calculate the deductible amount of student loan interest based on the worksheet from the form instructions.
