Entering charitable contributions in the S-Corporate module of ProConnect

This article will show you how to enter charitable contributions (cash or noncash) in the S-Corporate module of Intuit ProConnect.

Follow these steps to enter cash charitable contributions in the program:

  1. Go to the Input Return tab.
  2. From the left of the screen, select Schedule K and choose Income and Deductions.
  3. Scroll down to the Deductions section.
  4. Locate the Charitable Contributions subsection.
  5. Under the Cash subsection, enter the applicable amounts in:
    • 60% limitation
    • 30% limitation

Follow these steps to enter noncash charitable contributions in the program:

  1. Go to the Input Return tab.
  2. From the left of the screen, select Schedule K and choose Noncash Contributions (8283).
  3. Complete the applicable information for the noncash contribution.

Charitable contributions will flow to the Form 1120S Schedule K, page 3, line 12a and to the shareholder's Schedule K-1, line 12, codes A-G.
