Enter an adoption credit carryover in ProSeries

If an adoption credit is not fully used up in a prior year ProSeries will automatically transfer the unused portion to the next year, however if the tax return was prepared in another tax software, you may need to manually enter the carryover amount.

To enter the carryover:

1. Press F6 to open the Open Forms window.
2. Type CO to highlight the Federal Carryover Worksheet.
3. Click OK.
4. Scroll down to line 19.
5. Enter the carryover amounts.
6. ProSeries will carry this to the 8939 line 13.
