SOLVEDby IntuitUpdated November 21, 2023

EasyACCT can create the MMREF-1 to E-file the TX SUTA form TX C-3.

  • The state of Texas requires all employers to report Unemployment Insurance wages and pay their quarterly taxes electronically.
  • The Printed Employer's Quarterly Report (C-3) option is only authorized for use by employers who have approved hardship waivers on file with the Commission.
  • You will need to download and install the QuickFile program from the Texas Workforce Commission.
    • QuickFile is an online wage reporting system for uploading electronic files to the state of Texas.
    • It transfers wage data in the ICESA, MMREF-1, comma-delimited or fixed-length formats.
    • EasyACCT creates the TXT file using the MMREF-1 format.

CREATING THE E-FILE:

  1. Go to Print Reports > Tax Reports > select Special SUTA Reports > Select TX.
  2. Click Print > Begin Printing.

  4. Click the MMREF-1 button in the upper right corner.
  5. The program creates a TXT file and prompts for a destination.
    • The default destination creates a sub folder EF under the data path of the current company data.
      • Example: C:\EASYWDATA\EFTXQ123XYZ.TXT, where TX=Texas, Q1=Quarter 1, 23=Year 2023, XYZ= 3 digit Company ID.
