How to resolve Diagnostic Ref. 25319 regarding the Schedule M-2 in ProConnect

When the following critical diagnostic is generating, follow the steps in this article to resolve.

The total amount of distributions reducing Schedule M-2 accounts does not equal the total distributions shown on Schedule K line 16d and 17c. Verify any Schedule M-2 distribution overrides entered in Screen 32.(ref. #25319) ( in prior years this diagnostic reference number was- ref. #21369)

This diagnostic is more of an informational diagnostic referring to a discrepancy between the Schedule K and Schedule M-2 distributions.

This diagnostic generates when a property distribution has been entered in one of two places:

Option #1:

1. From the Input Return tab, go to Shareholder Information ⮕ Distributions, Loan Repayments Go to Details in Distributions Other than Dividends.

Option #2:

1. From the Input Return tab, go to Schedule K ⮕ Other Schedule K Items ⮕ Other Schedule K Items. Check for an entry in Distributions (cash and property).

An additional distribution (different than the amount entered on the other input screen) has been made on the Schedule M-2 screen as an override.

Follow these steps to remove the override and resolve this diagnostic:

1. From the Input Return tab, go to Balance Sheet ⮕ Schedule M-2.In the Accumulated Adjustments Account (Sch. M-2) section Remove the amount in, Distributions other than dividends [Override].{}
