Important note: As in prior years, many forms and calculations in our initial releases are still pending updates from the IRS and state agencies. We are dedicated to providing timely software updates as the IRS and state agencies finalize the tax law details so you stay in compliance. [UPDATE] Important note for tax year 2016 and 2017 versions of ProSeries: Due to recent security updates, you may experience an error message when you attempt to license online or e-file using a previous version of ProSeries. (Error messages include “Connection could not be established” or “An error occurred in the secure channel support.“)

  • [UPDATE] Built-in tax reform diagnostics that help you see potential tax reform-driven changes while you prepare a client’s return. Now you get more than 20 diagnostics to specifically address tax law changes. Plus, get quick links, in context, to applicable tax information as you need it.
  • [UPDATE] Tax reform guidance that shows you pertinent tax reform info in the callout box at the top of your screen as you work through a return. The info changes based on each input field you click on, so it’s always easy to see the right info, right when you need it — right in context.
