The following diagnostic is generating:

Your direct deposit of the tax refund has been disallowed since the return was filed after November 30, 2020. A check will be issued in lieu of direct deposit.

Solution:

For TY20 - This has been corrected on the program update 41.0127, please update to latest version and this will resolve the issue and diagnostic will no longer trigger.

For prior year returns - If you file the return after November 30th, whether electronically or by paper, the refund cannot be received via direct deposit. The taxpayer will receive a paper check only.
From the 20XX 1040 instructions, “Reasons your direct deposit request will be rejected” includes as an example “You file your 2019 return after November 30, 2020.”
Pg. 61 https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040gi.pdf
Note: For the past several years, the IRS has shutdown the MeF electronic filing system prior to November 30th. However, paper returns containing direct deposit bank information postmarked by November 30th can have the refund directly deposited into an account.

For the 2020 individual tax return, I get a diagnostic 46723 saying Your direct deposit of the tax refund has been disallowed since the return was filed after November 30, 2020. A check will be issued in lieu of direct deposit. It is impossible to file a 2020 individual return before 11/30/2020. This is crazy. When will this be fixed?

No one knows yet.

Thanks
