I have a client that sold ESPP, ISO, RSU and I reported them on Schedule D.

He says the tax return is missing form 3921 & 3922.

I know absolutely nothing about those forms or how to fill them out.

Please Help!!!!

HE would have received the 3921 or 3922 to bring to you to use to find the basis for the stock when he sold it, you don't always get the basis for those on the 1099B, they dont go in the tax return.

Per the IRS website: Who Must File

Every corporation which in any calendar year transfers to any person a share of stock pursuant to that person's exercise of an incentive stock option described in section 422(b) must, for that calendar year, file Form 3921 for each transfer made during that year.

Your client should have RECEIVED the forms; the aren't part of his F 1040.
