I have two state returns filed on Tuesday. Federal returns accepted. Proseries lists as sent to state but no further communication for 3 days.    General there is an hour lag but days?   is this  a case of patience or is there some holdup somewhere on state or intuit?

Georgia resident

 New mexico non resident

 two different taxpayers

Im having the same problem with NM resident tax returns, the federal returns have been accepted but the NM state returns still say "sent to state", its been a week. I dont know what the issue is.

The same problem is happening on some different tax software. Had Kansas, Alabama & New Mexico waiting.

Finally Kansas went through, then a few days later Alabama, New Mexico still sitting there.

I finally decide to call New Mexico Taxation & Revenue. They said that they will be about 2 weeks behind in accepting returns. Also, Refunds could take up to 12 weeks.

This is far out of their normal. I have been doing taxes in NM for 40 years and e-filing since it became available and there has never been this kind of lag.

Thanks for the information, I wish they would publish that on their web site. State of NM is usual turnaround is 3 to 5 days.
