Printed client labels are missing information in ProSeries

SOLVEDby Intuit8Updated November 21, 2023

This article will help you if your printed client labels are missing most of the address information, such as the taxpayer's name, and address or the city. The most common cause of this issue is if a return needs to be recalculated.

To recalculate one client file:

  1. Open ProSeries.
  2. Open the tax return.
  3. Press the F9 key on your keyboard to calculate the client file.
  4. From the File menu, select Save Client.
  5. Print the label again.

To recalculate multiple client files at once:

  1. Open ProSeries.
  2. Go to applicable Homebase view.
  3. Select the impacted returns.
  4. From the File menu, select Create PDF File.
  5. Make sure the Printer is not checked, and select the Print button to create a PDF of the returns.
    • This print function forces the returns to recalculate.
  6. Print the label again.

Rebuild the HomeBase files:

If recalculating the returns does not resolve the issue then the HomeBase records in ProSeries are most likely damaged and need to be repaired. See How to completely rebuild the HomeBase.
