Efile extensions on pay per return basis

TonyL

It would be nice to e-file extensions, for say $5, instead of sending by mail. It's a little rough to pay full price in March for a return I won't get to until August.

So you want to pay for the tax return PLUS $5?  Seriously?

You pay to print OR Efile...do you mean youre printing out blanks from IRS and filling/mailing them in?

I understood that $5 could be deducted as a "downpayment" from the full pay-per return price
