AUTO SAVE

It would be really nice if the program was able to save your work automatically as you're doing it.  I have lost a fair share of work because I answered NO too hastily upon exit when it asks you if you want to save.

It does have an auto save that can rescue you from a crash.  Tools > Options > General.   I think it defaults for every 10 minutes, you can change it to less.  If the program crashes, you can restore from the auto saved file.

Autosave doesn't save you from yourself though.  I think we've all done what you did at one point or another.   I don't think I would be a proponent of auto saving like youre requesting, I sometimes go in and make changes just to see what would happen, I do not want those changes to save, so am careful to choose NO upon exit.

Lisa, I knew about the rescue auto save, but thanks anyway.

I was wondering do you work for Intuit?  I'm not sure why you feel you need to comment on all these suggestions.  So you don't want auto save, I do.  I guess it's up to Intuit to decide who gets their way depending on other people supporting the idea.  I feel that since most other software do auto save your work for you, such as Word and others, it only makes sense that a tax program, where you can put in a half hours of work could have that as well, so that you don't loose that work.

If you want to play what-if, you can always go back and change back whatever you were what-if ing.

No, I don't work for Intuit, I'll do my best to avoid commenting on any of your posts again.  👍

I understand that, and if I was asking for a work around, I would definitely appreciate her input, however, I was making a suggestion to the programmers and her reply seemed to defend the way it the program works currently counteracting my suggestion.
