No...data will not be impacted by going from Win7 to Win 10 OS.  Can you still get Win7? I wouldn't, as support for it has sunsetted (or will soon)

I've got Windows 10 on a laptop and I hate it.....I'm uysing Windows 7 professional 32-bit and it runs everything perfectly,  even Lacerte 2000.  Onlyu version I can really depend on.

I'm guess the OP has likely made their decision in the last four months..

I have Win10 on at least five computers and have had no issues.  I can run Lacerte from 1999 forward.
There is a security risk with Win7 once support is sunsetted.

I second that emotion.  Win10 runs everything perfectly for me.

There are still some die-hard Win 7 fans who swear by it and believe it's still the best version out there.  Luckily, there is still a bit of life left in it but the plug will be pulled comes Jan 14, 2020.

That's not that far away....but further than I thought.
I didn't even look for that option when I ordered my new 'pooters.

There are still some die hard Chevy Vega fans who swear by it and believe it's still the best car out there.  Wait a second, I take that back.  I think all of the folks that owned a Vega were swearing at it, not by it.  Sorry.

You folks are definitely more techy than me.  Being from northern Minnesota, I was going to say go with Marvin windows, but it looks like that might be the wrong answer.  It now looks like we were shopping for operating system software instead of glass.

I'd say go with double pane argon filled windows :smile:
