CLIENT OWNS 100,000 CLASS C UNITS SOLD BY CLIENT TO THE COMPANY.IN A REPURCHASE.  PURCHASE PRICE PER UNIT IS $3.00.  WHERE IS THIS TRANSACTION RECORDED ON SCHEDULE D?

OK your choices are short or long term, and covered, not covered, not on 1099-B.  You did not provide any of that information in your post.

Short or long term - when did he acquire and when did he sell.

guess is not 1099-B or you wouldn't be asking the question.
