Sorry, I hit send too quick.

I was trying to send a return out using e-signature and the California return wasn’t ready. I could not figure that out, and the same thing happens if I went to e-file and return, ready to file was grayed out. The problem is resolved by manually checking on the California information worksheet the box that says “extension accepted”

I find it odd, because the date that the extension Was filed And accepted Is clearly marked, but the checkbox doesn’t get marked automatically and must be marked manually. I had seen this before, but forgot the resolution.

So, I resolve the issue but still don’t understand why it requires a manual process.
