Hi All,

I've client who claimed the Solar panel credit last year 2019 using form 5695, and this year 2020 he added more Solar panels, so do we start another 5695 form Residential Energy Credits for him, and if he is allowed to claim this credit again?.

Your help is appreciated.

There is a limit on the credits. When you open the 5695 it will have prior year amount and remaining credit available.

There is no limit for the solar credit; the limit is only for some of the 'other' residential energy improvements.

So yes, you can claim it again.
