recovery rebate

I prepared a return which calculated the recovery rebate.  It was disallowed by IRS upon electronically filing the return.  I believe the taxpayer was not entitled to the rebate as his income exceeded the maximum amount.  If they are correct it appears there is a glitch in the pro series software.

If not, an amended return will be required.

Please look into this and let me know the result.

Who are you asking to look into this?  This is a community board for tax preparers to discuss topics with each other, not a ProSeries customer support center. If you believe there is an error you will have to contact ProSeries, send them a "sanitized" file and let them research your particular issue.

If you saw a popup box after filing that said "things have changed", its a false message...the return still appears correct a filed, right?

Intuit has been notified, Im guessing they'll have it fixed by the next update.
