Transfer 1040 file from 2018 after 2019 PPR authorized

A 2019 1040 file was authorized for PPR when I filed the extension. I now have the 2018 return complete and want to transfer it to 2019. Can I do that without having to authorize again?

I dont think so.    Your original 2019 return will get overwritten with the one you're transferring in.

Is it a complex return with lots of carryovers and things that really need to get transferred into 2019?

You may need to call support and have them give you a manual PPR code to bypass the second request for payment.

Thank you, Lisa.  It will probably be easier just to reenter info.  I was hoping there was a simple way to do it.  I appreciate your response!
