What is the latest of states following suit with federal on the first 10,200  unemployment.

If you're expecting someone else to do the work of tracking down how all the states will work regarding this, I think you're going to be disappointed.

Thanks, didn't know if when the fix is in for Fed, why run it when no one knows what states are doing.  I guess states aren't going to get their tax dollars...

Just depends on the state and if they work off the Fed AGI as a starting point or not....CA starts with Fed AGI, but they exclude UI automatically...so when fed excludes it from AGI, it needs to be added back to CA, so its not a double exclusion.

Preparers are going to have to take all these different state rules into account before filing any state returns and make adjustments as necessary...or wait for program updates.

Even in states that don't tax unemployment like CA & VA, if the state "math" starts with Federal AGI then the state still needs to determine the mechanism they want us to use to "adjust the adjustment."

If you're in FL, TX, WA, etc. then the plunger that Intuit will send out this afternoon should unclog your pipes.  A lot of other states will still be waiting on Roto-Rooter to show up to unclog the drains.
