Proseries 2020 and 2019

Ever since I updated 2019 and then proceeded to install 2020, I am unable to get into 2019 and 2020.  With help from another person, it has been discovered that the protax exe file is missing and the app won't launch.  Everything was working until I updated 2019.  I've already called tech support but they didn't resolve the problem.  Anyone else have this problem?

Try going to windows start, scroll to ProSeries 2019, repair updates, then do the same for 2020. Hope that will work for you

Thanks!  I now have 2019 after repairing updates.  2020 still a problem.  The protax exe file is missing and I can't launch the app. But I can get updates lol.

Assuming you haven't been able to do anything yet with ProSeries TY20, i'd suggest deleting the entire installation directory (probably C:\ProWin20) and running the installer again.

Here's the direct download link

Professional: https://ftpfp.proseries.com/pub/proseries/2020/CoreInstallerTY20.exe

Basic: https://ftpfp.proseries.com/pub/proseries/2020/BasicInstallerTY20.exe

Keep an eye on the installer - make sure it runs all the way through. When you get to the final "Successfully Installed" screen, open File Explorer, go to the install directory and look in the 32bit directory. It should have about the same number of files as your TY19 folder, including the ProTax exe.

In terms of why you got in this state in the first place... not sure at all. Can you open FileExplorer, navigate to C:\ProgramData\Intuit\ProSeries\Install\TY20\Logs, and email the files found there to proseries_engineering@intuit.com?

Thanks Orlando.  I reinstalled 2020 and I now have 2019 and 2020 working. I ran the 2019 repair updates to get that going. I appreciate your help.
