Proseries 2019 gives error message that Form 990T cannot be efiled. The IRS is requesting the Form 990PF to be efiled and requiring for the 2020 returns ....

Anyone seen a workaround to efile a 2019 Form 990PF from Proseries? Perhaps print the Form 990T and attach as a pdf?

Let me know if you find a way, but I am quite certain that attaching the 990T as a pdf isn't going to be successful.

990PF and 990T are 2 separate tax returns. efile 990PF. Paper file 990T.

Back to this same issue for a 2020 Form 990-PF and a Form 990-T .... It appears that the Proseries software now has a toggle to eFile "PF" and "T" ...

Has anyone actually eFiled the 2020 forms thru Proseries and received confirmation of successful transmission to the agency? Any troubles or issues?

These returns are due on Nov 15, 2021 - and I am know we had problems at the same time last year in our unsuccessful attempts to eFile the 2019 returns ....

ProSeries supports 990PF and 990T for e-file in 2020 program. Please navigate to information worksheet, select "Form 990-PF and Form 990-T" in Part II, select "File the federal 990, 990-EZ, 990-PF, or 990-N return electronically" and "File the federal 990-T return electronically" in Part VII.

Then, check Federal and 990-T Exempt in electronic filling window. See the attachment for the pic.

That is great for 2020 but what about 2019 IRS is demanding 2019 be efiled and the company's begins 10/1/19 so that falls after efile is required.  tried to mail but they rejected.  we need 2019 to be able to be efiled!

This November 2021 reply was incredibly helpful for 2021 990's (upcoming in the months ahead), and I appreciate the clear response.

I hope you can reply to the posted question today from another user (below) who is stuck with a 2019 problem ......
