Pro Series versus Lacerte

Has anyboy switched from Lacerte to ProSeries and was it a very big difference and a long learning curve?  Any other information that someone can share with us would be greatly appreciated.

I think there are a few around here proficient with both. Hopefully, they’ll check in. PS and Lacerte are completely different platforms, so there’s going to be a learning curve to get used to the navigation and workflow; how difficult is up to you... call the sales people and take it for a test drive. Have them convert a few of your most complex returns while you’re at it. The biggest difference is that PS isn’t as robust (or expensive) as Lacerte; but that will depend on your practice... you can always use Lacerte on a pay per return basis if you have a few clients that PS can’t handle. I’ve been using PS for 30 years and (aside from the annual complaints about what’s broken in the early releases) it works pretty well.

If at first you don’t succeed…..find a workaround
