I am unable to figure out how to create a pdf for this client. When i got to print i keep getting "Print This Client is not available for read-only returns" .   Anybody knows if i can make it now read only?

Which tax year are you in ?   Are you on a stand alone or network ?

Mine works fine in 2021 (Form 1040 - stand alone.)

Go to Windows File Explorer in the ProSeries Data folder find that client's file, adn right click on it and choose Properties....is it marked as Read Only?

Or do you have the file locked? Maybe when its locked you can only print if you open the file in Proseries?

I thought that would be the issue but it is not. I can make changes to the file and save but cant print.

Sorry I guess I should have added that information.

This is a customer still from 2020 that had some updates to do. It works fine on customers from 2021. I thought maybe there is a location where we can set files as read only.

Have you tried printing from another client file to see if it's all files or isolated to just that client file.

It looks like you're printing from Homebase...you can't print with the client file open and using the Print Return button on the toolbar either?

Your client data files arent on a removable or virtual drive or anything unusual like that right?  Theyre in the default folder on your harddrive?

Have you rebooted the computer since the issue began?

It could be an anti virus issue as well
