Client moved out of primary and rented it for 3 years before selling.  I completed sale of primary worksheet, and linked that to depreciation schedule where I put in sale.  The date it became a rental was transferred to the worksheet and I cannot see how to correct it.

Any advice on how to correctly complete the forms in Pro Basic?

Right click to override the date showing on the worksheet.

Which forms do you want? Does the Sec. 121 exclusion apply?

Yes. A partial exclusion applies.  I overwrote the date.

Had the same issue on the CA return .  in addition, CA not recognizing the exclusion.
