PA 40; I have a client with a spouse who deceased in 2019. Pro Series will not allow a joint return even though PA now allows a joint return under these circumstances.  Any work around?

From HomeBase highlight the client.  Go to File Menu and scroll down to Do a MFJ Split.  This will create two separate returns (now you will have 3 returns - joint, TP, SP).  Delete the separate return for the spouse who is still alive.  Then go into the deceased spouse separate return, make sure it is accurate and then file only the PA return by itself.
