Obtaining ITIN for dependents in Mexico

Can a mexican legal resident still claim his wife and kid in Mexico and be able to obtain an ITIN for both of them.

If taxpayer is legally married, they can file jointly. He may claim child but will be limited to ODC. Unless something has changed re: ITIN's, taxpayer should be able to obtain an ITIN for both.

If the dependent child is living in Mexico there is no other dependent tax credit unless the child is a US citizen.
