My client has w-2 income of 188k & self employed income of 22k. How do I eliminate the excess social security taxes and calculate the correct amount of medicare tax?

Make sure you have entered social security and Medicare wages, and social security and Medicare withholding when you enter the W-2 info.

Make sure both the W2 and the Sch C are assigned to the same person, the software should do the work for you.
