My client is legally married, but she hasn't lived with spouse since 2017. She lived with her mom. She has income and a child. What would be her filing status?

HOH - she lived with her mother.  MFS - she doesn't have no information about the spouse or social security number... nor where he is located... he doesn't help her financially for their child neither.

Unless she paid over 50% of the household expenses she can't go HOH.
