Last year my client filed married filing separately.  I want to see both joint and separate for the current year to determine which way to file.  How do I do that?

I don't think you can without having a joint return completed first.

Prepare the Joint return for all returns. Go to "Can't find a Form", put MFS in the box and it will bring up the comparison form in the return. Check the box on the form and it will give you the breakdown for MFJ vs MFS returns. There is one in each State return also, but you may have to hunt for it under the Forms list.

You can split a MFJ return, but you cant combine 2 MFS returns.
