Retriving a file that was not saved

If you can pull that one off, I suggest the you try walking on water next.  What happened to the file?  Did the computer crash in midstream or why did it go MIA?

None of the above.  Working on a file way too late last night.  Forgot to save before I logged off.

there is an auto-save function - I never needed to find out where it saved

It shows up as a computer generated file saved when you start the program the next time and asks if you want to save it or discard it.
