I don't understand why a get a validate lastName, firstName, Zip Code and SSN when attempting to start an 1099 import from a financial institution?  Does someone have a solution?

solved my own error, you have to be a paid preparer.  So if you have any clients that you do for free in order to get the financial info change to being a paid preparer get the info and change back.

now, has anyone been able to get the 1099B data from any financial institutions?  I haven't, i still advovate for importing the data from an excel spreadsheet.

Good luck to all.
