I need to file past returns for a decased taxpayer for years 2014 - 2017. Can I still e-file those returns through Intuit ProSeries?

You can paper file if you really need to but e-filing for those years is also deceased.

@IRonMaN "You can paper file if you really need to but e-filing for those years is also deceased."

I thought at first that you meant any filing for those years is deceased, and that's probably true.  IRS really doesn't want ancient returns, absent special circumstances.  Maybe there are some carryback losses involved here, that can still generate refunds?  I miss Paul Harvey, who might have been able to fill us in on the rest of the story.

That's why I left the rest of the story section open and went with "if you really need to".
