How to set up an electronic payment to MD for resident estimated tax for a partnership or PTS

LNemec

I am having an impossible time trying to get the software to accept a Q4 payment to MD for a PTE.   This is new because of IRS Notice 2020-75 that is allowing payments to be made at the PTE  level for RESIDENT shareholders.

Has anyone had any success?

Of course, Intuit is closed today!

If you're trying to take advantage of this on your client's TY2020 individual tax return, it sounds like the boat is about to sail.

Since I don't use PS, I'm not sure if 510D in the program is up to date but I can tell the one in Lacerte/PTO is not the latest version that caters to this not-so-new election (https://www.marylandtaxes.gov/forms/20_forms/510D.pdf).

If you mail in the 510D, I'm not sure if your client can opt to make an online payment before midnight on the MD Comptroller website.

@sjrcpais the resident expert on MD and she should be able to give you much better suggestion than me.
