On a w-2 box 12 has a value for group life insurance over $50,000. Is this reportable as income and if so where is it reported. Also since I am retired my former employer provided a w-2 with 0 on line 1 and proseries kicks out an error that without a value on line 1, the return can not be efiled!

You'll enter your client's W2 as you see it, including amounts in boxes with the codes. The ProSeries knows how to handle a W2 just fine.
