What do you need to enter on Schedule E page 2 from the Grantor Trust Letter.

Items from the Grantor trust letter get entered in the same place they would if there weren't a grantor trust. Interest gets entered as interest, stock sales get entered as stock sales, etc.

They should add a bold-print caption at the top of Grantor Trust Letters:

WARNING. This is just a pretend trust.  Move along and pay no attention.

And not only is it a "pretend trust" but you cannot file an extension for the "entity" because it is all pretense.

It has been quite some time since anyone mentioned Intentionally Defective Irrevocable Trusts.  April 15 is as good a time as any to review them.  (After all, it's the day the Titanic sank.  It was also an IDIT -- Iceberg Destroyed Immersible Transport.)
