Entering 1098-Q where recipient is not the beneficiary

Parent(recipient) received 109-Q for child (beneficiary).  Earnings show up as taxable.  What additional entries need to be made to have it removed?  Total distribution used for qualified school expenses.

Looks like entering qualified school expenses in" On the Student Information Worksheet, scroll down to Part IV - Educational Institution and Tuition Summary" would do it...  because of income level, I entered zero in the adjustments for credit block....

thoughts?
