Can I use a client file that originates from another firm? The CPA is retiring and I have picked up a couple of his clients with lots of ProSeries history.

You can open the previous preparer's files in your program. You would simply need to add them to the directory and perform database maintenance, or use Client File Maintenance > Restore to have the program add the files to the directory automatically. Do be sure that none of the returns are password protected.
