Why is the SE elective deferral entered into the Retirement page of Adjustments to Income not being deducted?

Same contribution as previous year-
Taxpayer is not 70 1/2 until 2020.
How can I see what the program is doing?

Is there  net SE income? Did you enter the deferral for the spouse instead of the taxpayer? Did you enter 1 to get maximum? there should be a worksheet to show computation.
