One situation that I've run into: For a joint return, *both* spouses must have earned income (or be full-time students). You can fill out the 2441 perfectly but PCT will refuse to generate the form unless it sees income from both spouses.

In this case, all you need to do is just to make an entry on the line for Number of months disabled or full-time student under the TAXPAYER or SPOUSE column, whichever is applicable. This input is only accessible by clicking on General Information in small prints in the top right corner of the input screen found under Credits > Dependent Care Credit (2441) > Children, Dependents.
