Pdf returns print odd characters, black boxes and odd symbols, is there a fix?

I have a Brother MFC-L2740DW laser printer and my version of Adobe is the online version that is always the current version and ProConnect Tax Online

Be sure you have the latest driver for that printer https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadtop.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=mfcl2740dw_us_eu_as

Reboot and try again. If the problem continues contact support.
