How to modify tax return Client Letters in ProConnect Tax Online (e.g. modify Firm info, add paragraphs/notes to clients.

NP, @LoveTax.  Someday, PTO may improve but it is really a WIP at this stage.

You can update your firm info within PTO under Settings, which is found in the bottom of the left panel, and in the popup, click on Firm Information under YOUR FIRM.  Note, however, making changes to these may require your EFIN to be verified again as these should match your EFIN records.

As for contents of the client letter (which is actually basic filing instructions), unlike its elder sibling Lacerte, there is no means for making changes.  If you must, bypass the client letter from PTO, prepare your own with a word processor, and attach it to the return.

Yes, I was looking for content and extra default paragraphs for client letters. And a Summary Letter with all Federal and states included on one page. Attaching Summary Letter and updating refund/tax due numbers for each return is so inconvenient... 😞

This is such a direct note to our valued clients,  why cant we as tax preparers' edit the cover letter within Pro-connect to our clients that is printed first before any of the tax forms?
